April Charity Spotlight

For April, I chose the Amazon Conservation Team because Earth Day is right around the corner, and it always makes me stop and think about what it means to take care of our planet. I feel like this time of year is when people are the most aware of sustainability, but also it can sometimes fade into a trend instead of becoming something that can make an impact.

What I really love about this organization is that it's about working with Indigenous communities who have been caring for these environments way before any of us started talking about climate change. It feels real, respectful, and effective. The Amazon is such a huge part of our planet's health, and it's easy to feel disconnected from it, but supporting something like this makes it a little more personal. Even small actions can add up and contribute to something way bigger.
